Lori Stelzer is a dedicated and compassionate licensed therapist with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate the complexities of addiction, trauma, and behavioral health. With over a decade of experience in the field, Lori has been a licensed therapist since 2014 and sober since 2012—a personal journey that informs and strengthens her professional work. Her diverse career has spanned various settings and populations, working with clients ranging from infants to individuals in their 70s. However, it was through her work with addiction and trauma survivors that Lori found her true calling.
Lori’s therapeutic approach is rooted in a genuine curiosity about human behavior and a drive to understand the "why" behind our choices. She is particularly fascinated by the brain-body connection and the transformative power of self-awareness. Lori believes that healing is possible and that individuals have the innate ability to cultivate meaningful change within themselves, which in turn can influence the world around them. This philosophy has guided her work as she supports clients in overcoming the barriers to healing and growth, with a focus on empowering them to create lasting change.
In addition to her hands-on experience, Lori has pursued extensive training to further her expertise. She is a Clinically Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP) and is EMDR trained, which allows her to integrate evidence-based techniques into her practice to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences. Currently, Lori is further expanding her skill set by working towards a strengths-based ADHD certification, a testament to her commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Lori’s approach is holistic, client-centered, and deeply empathetic. She believes in fostering a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their struggles, build resilience, and unlock their full potential. Whether helping clients understand the underlying causes of their behaviors, heal from past trauma, or develop healthier coping strategies, Lori remains steadfast in her commitment to guiding others on their path toward recovery and personal growth.
