WHAT IS DFN PROJECT SEARCH?
DFN Project SEARCH is a supported Internship programme for young adults aged 18-24 years with learning difficulties and disabilities who hold a current Educational Health and Care Plan. The young people are wanting to take the next step into the world of paid employment.
DFN Project SEARCH runs over one academic year, during which the interns complete three, ten-week work placements in Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust gaining valuable skills and experience to transfer into a workplace.
WHAT IS THE REVERSE JOBS FAIR?
A Reverse Jobs Fair gives potential employees a platform to showcase their skills and abilities to visiting employers. Each young person has their own station which they have prepared in advance for the event.
It is an alternative recruitment route into employer talent pools for young people who may find traditional job fairs inaccessible and intimidating.
It is an opportunity for interns to talk to you and you to them in a less formal setting.
