Get ready to be transported on a musical journey as Dexter Stanley-Tauvao, a renowned Sāmoan jazz drummer, composer, and educator, takes center stage. Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Dexter's passion for jazz has taken him across the globe, from Singapore to New York City.

Graduating with First Class Honours in Jazz from the New Zealand School of Music, Dexter has shared the stage with jazz icons like Alex Sipiagin, Antonio Hart, and Rufus Reid. From big band classics to Afro-Cuban rhythms, Dexter's versatility and passion shine through in every performance.

In 2022, Dexter was awarded the prestigious Fulbright General Graduate Award, allowing him to pursue a Master of Music in New York City. He currently studies with legendary jazz musicians Dennis Mackrel, Antonio Hart, and Michael Mossman, and is a proud member of the Grammy Award-winning Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra.

In addition to his remarkable performance skills, Dexter is a dedicated educator, sharing his love for music with students around the world. Whether he's teaching at universities or leading jazz ensembles, Dexter's enthusiasm and expertise inspire musicians of all ages.
