Welcome to our next {dev.talk} event: "The one where we deployed our first PATCH"
We have a BIGGER space for chat and a BIGGER screen, all in the heart of Bournemouth!
Venue
We are being hosted by the new Coworking space PATCH (Bournemouth) this time. They have a beautiful, bright and inviting coworking space which I am excited for you all to see.
Doors open at 6:55pm
Event starts at 7pm
Event finishes at 9pm
Parking will be best at the Winter Gardens Car park, just a short walk away, but I recommend using a bus which can drop you outside the venue.
PATCH is on the first floor of Bobbys which is both lift and stair accessible.

We will be having 2 amazing talks this time, by our amazing community members:
Desmond Ezo-Ojile is a Senior Software Engineer who will show us his "Journey in Building a City-Based Maze Game using ml5.js and open-source API's" (30 mins)
In this session, I will walk through my journey of developing a city-based maze game, highlighting the technical challenges encountered and the strategies implemented to overcome them. I will delve into how I leveraged ml5.js and various open-source APIs to create dynamic maze game that brings the urban labyrinth to life.
Seemin Suleri is a VP of Engineering who will tells us about "Lessons from a Domain-Driven Design (DDD) Transformation" (30 mins)
In this session, I will talk through the lessons we learned on scaling a company to a global level, by applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Conway's law within the company's team structures, and the software system architectures. I'll tell you of the chaos we battled through to make the transformation succeed.
Who is {dev.talk}
A small team of people who are passionate about the local software engineering community, who realised that a lot of the needs are not being met, so pushed through their fears, and are trying to "Be the change they want to see in the world".
We come together regularly and share knowledge allowing us all to learn and grow in our chosen fields and careers.
It is a relaxed environment where everyone is welcome from all backgrounds and technical levels.
We will be aiming for talks (& lightning talks) that are of any level, and any software engineering based skill. This will include deep dives into technical subjects, soft skills, mental health, career progression etc.
All levels of speaking/presentation skills will be accepted, and actively encouraged.
We want {dev.talk} to feel like friends who support each other.
