Conference Theme:
Loneliness is an epidemic that affects us all at some point or another in our lives and is no respecter of faith, age, gender, demographic, or even marital status.
Biblically, we know we are called into fellowship with Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:9) and to do life with one another (Acts 2:46). Scientifically, we know that healthy relationships are key in our development physically, emotionally, and even spiritually. The Bible tells us it is not good for man to be alone... and two are better than one. So why, knowing all of this, do so many of us struggle to find good friends?
Devoted 2025: Better Together will challenge us to live an abundant life in relationship with Jesus Christ and in fellowship with one another. We will discover the problem of loneliness, God’s plan in spite of the problem, the pitfalls and pillars of godly friendships, and the importance of engaging with God’s people.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up…Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”
