Purpose: The aim of this briefing event is to raise awareness of food insecurity across the county of Devon. There will be updates on the latest food insecurity data, as well as hearing from projects tackling food insecurity. There will be opportunities to talk through potential responses to this on-going crisis, as well as discussion about practical interventions that policy-makers can engage in to improve the lives of those most impacted. This important briefing event has been organised by the Devon Food Insecurity Working Group, which is part of the Devon Food Partnership in collaboration with Devon Community Foundation and Exeter Food: A University Research Network. Speakers include The Trussell Trust, Citizens Advice, Devon County Council, and partners in Torbay and Plymouth.
The invited audience includes Devon MPs, Elected Members, Directors of Public Health and senior NHS managers, key Local Authority staff and academics. Free event. Lunch included.
