Our Keynote Speakers:

Dan Terhorst-North

Dan Terhorst-North is a technology and organisational change specialist who has been coaching, coding and consulting for over 25 years. Daniel is the originator of Behaviour-Driven Development, an agile approach to software development that encourages teams to deliver the software that matters by emphasising the interactions between stakeholders. Daniel will be sharing his years of experience in the industry and discussing why you should take an agile approach to software development.

Efua Akamanyi

Efua Akamanyi is currently Head of Technology and Training at Coding Black Females. Passionate about helping women in tech, Efua has been working in tech for over 20 years. She will be sharing her experiences as a black woman in tech, as well as discussing Azure at length.

Jennifer Opal

Jennifer Opal is a DevOps Engineer and Inclusion Advocate. Without a Computer Science Degree, Jennifer decided to put herself out there and got her start in the Software Engineering space via Code First Girls. After working at BT and now HelloSign via Dropbox, Jennifer will be sharing her expertise in the DevOps space, as well as discussing the importance of being an ally.


Our Speakers:

Ryan Neal

Ryan Neal is a Tribe Engineering Lead at BT, with ten years of experience working across notable companies in Technology, Finance and Defence. Specialising in driving agile delivery through good engineering practices, Ryan will be sharing why adopting new technologies is crucial in order to accomplish an organisation's DevOps ambitions, as well as the importance of demolishing delivery silos.

Alexander Swann

Alexander Swann is a Senior Developer at The Home Office. Following a Software Development Bootcamp at Makers Academy, Alexander started as a developer at The Home Office, and has worked in a variety of teams including Border Force, HM Passport Office and on Digital Services for the Police. Alexander will be taking part in a talk titled ‘Tech for good: Digital services and refugee integration’.

Georgina Hall

Georgina Hall is a QAT Test Lead at The Home Office. Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, Georgina had an interest in digital design from a young age. After a degree in Multimedia Design, Georgina went on to work at Direct Line Group, joining the User Acceptance Testing team. After joining The Home Office in 2020, Georgina has worked on many tech stacks including AS400, Android, Azure and more. Georgina will be taking part in a talk titled ‘Tech for good: Digital services and refugee integration’.

Charlotte Moore

Charlotte Moore is a Lead Researcher, Policy & Innovation Lab, at The Home Office. An experienced User Researcher who has led research on the award-winning UK Digital Passport Service, Charlotte is a founding team member of The Home Office Policy and Innovation Lab (CoLab) which seeks to bring a citizen-focused approach to policymaking. Charlotte has also led on research with refugees, asylum seekers and survivors of modern salary; regularly engaging with the charity sector to ensure the voices of the more vulnerable are heard. Charlotte will be taking part in a talk titled ‘Tech for good: Digital services and refugee integration’.
