About this Event
In this creative and collaborative week-long camp, young performers will become playwrights, directors, designers, and actors as they work together to create an original piece of theatre from scratch! Through fun improvisation games, storytelling exercises, and group brainstorming sessions, campers will learn the basics of devised theatre — a process where the script is developed by the ensemble instead of starting with a pre-written play. Ages 7-14.
Throughout the week, students will build performance skills, explore character creation, and design simple sets, props, and costumes to support their collective vision. The experience emphasizes teamwork, imagination, and creative problem-solving, culminating in a final showcase where campers share their original performance with friends and family.
