Break away from the usual city scene and join us for an outdoor adventure on theSourland Mountain Ridge Loop.Located just a short trip from NYC, this hidden gem offers a refreshing change of pace with rugged trails, tranquil streams, and scenic views that feel worlds away from the urban grind.
What to Expect:
đż A 5.8-mile moderate loop with a mix of forested paths, rocky terrain, and peaceful brookside trails.(Details)
đ Scenic ridge views and the calming sounds of Roaring Brook.

⨠A chance to connect with a cool group of fellow adventurers in a relaxed, laid-back setting.

What to Bring:
- Hiking boots/ Sturdy Sneae (required)âthis trail can get rocky and muddy in spots!
- Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing (layers are your friend).
- A daypack with water, snacks, and a packed lunch.
- Camera or phone to capture the incredible views.
Event Schedule:
10:00 AM â Meet at The Standard Biergarten in NYC
10:30 AM â Depart for Sourland Mountain Preserve
12:00 AM â Arrive at the trailhead and begin the hike
2:00 PM â Snack break by Roaring Brook
3:00 PM â Conclude the hike and head to a cozy nearby cafĂŠ
5:00 PM â Depart for NYC
Timing is approximate and will depend on traffic and the groupâs pace.
