A workshop for Primary Teachers, exploring the role of the Primary Arts Coordinator
About this Event

Arts Connect, in partnership with Birmingham Creates, are delivering an ‘in person’ workshop for Primary Teachers, which explores the role of the Primary Arts Coordinator and how it can strengthen Arts Provision, whilst also supporting school improvement.

The workshop will include: how to develop the role of Primary Arts Lead/Coordinator; auditing provision; planning for and tracking progression; commissioning artists; developing your school’s CPD; contributing to Ofsted’s Cultural Capital requirements. We will also be looking at how Artsmark and Arts Award can be used to maximum effect to further strengthen your school’s arts and cultural provision.

The session will provide practical action planning and an opportunity to share issues and solutions with colleagues.

You will also have free entry (usual cost £5) to Arts Connect’s regional Teaparty – a great opportunity to meet personally arts and cultural organisations and artists who all work in schools, as well as be part of themed afternoon vintage tea tables (with cake!!) with focused conversations such as using the arts to develop: language and literacy; mental health and wellbeing; digital skills; STEAM.

The event includes lunch and afternoon tea.
