Through whiteboard design challenges and open-ended impromptu questions, we’ll explore how CS fundamentals like abstraction, algorithms, and problem formalization remain essential tools, even in the age of AI.

Guillermo is a seasoned software engineer and problem solver with nearly 15 years of experience—beginning at IBM in the Bay Area during the dot-com era, contributing to HP Labs in India, and helping build systems at pre-IPO Workday. Across these roles, his focus has consistently been on Data Retrieval, Cloud Computing and Big Data. He also served as a Teaching Assistant at UT Austin, supporting students in core Computer Science fundamentals. Now as an entrepreneur, Guillermo continues to solve problems while exploring AI and mixed reality.
