Detroit Pet People (DPP) is a welcoming monthly meet-up for pet owners, future pet parents, and animal lovers to ask questions, share experiences, and learn together.Each session features a new topic, community discussion, and access to helpful resources — all in a relaxed, supportive environment.
What to expect:
*FREE dog and cat food (while supplies last)
*FREE spay and neuter appointments for Detroit residents
*New topic every session
*Facilitated by Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control
Important notes:
*Everyone is welcome — you do not need to be a Detroit resident to attend.
*FREE spay/neuter sign-up is available to Detroit residents only.
*Please leave pets at home so everyone can participate comfortably.
🗓 Detroit Pet People meets on the last Wednesday of every month at 6:00 PM.
🎄 In November and December, sessions are held on the third Wednesday due to holiday schedules.
