This bike tour visits three of Detroit's current breweries, as well as several significant locations in Detroit's storied brewing history.Join Michigan Brew Tours for a deep dive into Detroit's rich brewing history! This approximately 7.5-mile bike ride departs from Lagerhaus No. 5 in historic Eastern Market, stopping by the nearby locations of the legendary Stroh and Goebel breweries. Then travel the Dequindre Cut to Atwater Brewing Detroit and get rewarded with a pint of Atwater's finest. Next, we head east for a visit to Brewery Faisan for a pint of their delicious Belgian-inspired beer, stopping along the way at historic Elmwood Cemetery to pay our respects to some of Detroit's greatest beer barons. For this exclusive tour, you'll be guided by Certified Cicerone® and Michigan Brew Tours' owner John Turnage who will share the history of Detroit's storied brewing industry, from the 19th century beer barons, to the speakeasies and rum runners of Prohibition, all the way to the vibrant craft beer scene of present day Detroit.
