Detour Doughnuts Book Club- A History of the World in 6 Glasses
Our November read is a short non-fiction book. The History of the World in Six Glasses is a dive into six beverages that shape history. The beverages beer, wine, spirits, coffee, tea and cola are still central to our culture today. Which is your go to drink? Read with us and discover the history of your drink and how it has altered the path of history. We are serving a doughnut drink pairing flight for this book club meeting. All non-alcoholic drinks, actually! It's going to be a fun one! Our book club members who are history teachers will lead the discussion. Thank you Natalie and Andrew! Also we are celebrating the one year anniversary of the Detour Book Club. Also as part of the celebration we are asking attendees to bring a wrapped book they have enjoyed for a gift exchange.
