About this Event
This quarter's event with the Ada County Sheriff's Office will feature a detective and detention deputy! Detective Garza will discuss investigations, evidence, and more with a fun, hands-on activity. A detention deputy will give a virtual walk-through of the Ada County J*il, discuss their job, and answer any questions. Lunch will be provided after the event.
Welcome to the Freedom Youth Foundation's event for foster, kinship and adopted youth and their siblings in the Treasure Valley! Our mission is to create a positive environment where local foster youth can grow their athletic and life skills, including communication, teamwork, and accountability.
Important Event Details:
- Arrival Time: Please arrive 10 minutes before the event starts to ensure a smooth check-in.
- Notification of Cancellations: If you or your child cannot attend, let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust food orders and allocate our resources effectively.
- Parental Presence: Foster parents and guardians are not required to stay during the event. While we encourage your presence to support your child, we trust your judgment on whether to stay.
Event Information:
- Who: Open to foster, kinship and adopted youth aged 5-21 and their siblings.
- What: Participants will engage in various activities and games under the mentorship of dedicated volunteers.
At the end of the day, four participants will be honored with trophies recognizing their sportsmanship, leadership, inspiration, and attitude.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable, athletic clothing and shoes.
