ABAC’s Georgia Museum of Agriculture will host their 3rd Annual Destination Ag Day, an event focused on family-friendly fun showcasing the impact agriculture and natural resources have on our daily lives. On Saturday, Sept. 21, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College’s GMA will feature hands-on experiences with barn animals and native reptiles, along with fun, immersive activities tailored toward children, ensuring an unforgettable visit for all ages. From 9am to 3pm, visitors can explore how agriculture impacts their daily lives through enriching activities hosted by Destination Ag’s ABAC student instructors. Guests are invited to interact with curated learning stations, Buttercup, the fiberglass milking cow, and the Langdale Nature Center. They will also explore tools and techniques used by foresters, learning how Georgia crops and the timber industry, provide many products used in our daily lives.
Admission for the day is $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens, $8 for ages 5-16, and free for children ages 4 and under. For more information, contact Greg Losada at (229)391-5208.
