Join us to learn how to complete DRDP collaboratively and apply data to drive instruction and services.
About this Event

The DRDP (2025) assessment was developed with child development experts to align to current early childhood research and be more inclusive of all learners, including dual language learners and children with disabilities.

Additionally, the domains of Social-Emotional Development and Approaches to Learning are now extended to third grade. This session is focused on collaborative partnerships to complete the DRDP, review meaningful observations, how to read and review the results and planning instruction based on the student data.

This professional learning session is designed to deepen participants' understanding and application of the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP), with a focus on collaboration, observation, and data-informed planning.

Educators will explore best practices for completing the DRDP collaboratively with general education partners and families, ensuring a more holistic and inclusive view of student development.

Participants will learn meaningful observation strategies to gather authentic evidence across environments and routines, and will engage in guided activities to enhance the accuracy and usefulness of data collection.

The session will also provide techniques for conducting effective data reviews and translating DRDP results into actionable goals and lesson planning.

Emphasis will be placed on aligning services and instructional strategies with identified student needs, supporting both access and progress in the general education setting. This interactive training will include case studies, group discussions, and planning tools to strengthen team collaboration and improve educational outcomes.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the key components and purposes of DRDP
  • Practice collaborative completion of the DRDP with input from general education and family partners.
  • Apply effective observation strategies in a variety of classroom settings.
  • Use DRDP data to inform lesson planning, service delivery, and goal setting aligned with individual student needs.
