A 5-day Holiday Camp designed to develop your child's creative eye and aesthetic sensibility in both digital and physical, 2D crafting and 3D prototyping.
On Day 1 to 2, students will begin a 2-day project to Design an Ice Cream Truck & the Branding for their Ice Cream Company.
Students will design their own moving vehicle, the logo and branding of their ice cream business down to its exciting Menu! They will apply Design Thinking skills to understand the spatial needs required to support the preparation and sale of ice cream before building a 3D prototype of their Ice Cream Truck design.
On Day 2, students will be introduced to the digital craft of Graphic Design with Canva to design their Ice Cream Brand Logo and a Poster to advertise for the grand opening of their Ice Cream Truck.
On Day 3, students will go in depth learning Graphic Design with Canva.
Students will learn how Graphic Designers create visual content to communicate messages by applying visual hierarchy and page layout techniques, understanding typography to design their Company Brand Logo and selected collaterals like Business card, Letterhead and basic Product packaging.
On Day 4, children will learn Basic Introduction to TinkerCAD + 3D Printing (Level 1).
Guided by experienced instructors and 3D printing specialists, children will learn TinkerCAD to create a mini stationery pot before exporting it to a 3D printer for printing. Children will witness the process of their digital form being printed from scratch.
While waiting for the 3D print, students will continue to explore TinkerCAD digital space; learning how to use the software as a design tool to create various digital forms. This immersive hands-on learning will empower them to envision, design, and shape their future prototypes.
On Day 5, the last day of the Holiday Camp, students will delve deeper into the exploration of TinkerCAD, mastering more advanced modelling techniques to design, model and 3D print their own creations.
DesignTinkers camps are specially designed and led by instructors who are architects, designers and educators with the passion and experience of working with young children to nurture their creative interests. Camps are held in our spacious and conducive classroom for kids to create and explore freely under guidance.

(Please allow 10-15min walk from Main Carpark drop off point to Block B. Follow signages leading to Block B.)
Price includes 2x snacks and lunch per day. All materials and laptops will be provided. A specially prepared thumb drive will be gifted to students to save all their digital works completed at the holiday camp.
We do encourage students to bring their own laptop and IPad so they can continue working on their projects at home. Should your child be keen to bring his/ her own device, kindly email [email protected] to inform a week before the holiday camp starts.
