Explore how NeuroArts uses music, art, movement & design to reduce stress, build connection, and support well-being.
About this Event

The emerging field of NeuroArts explores how the arts and aesthetic experiences influence brain function, emotional regulation, learning, and overall well-being. This interdisciplinary session brings together insights from neuroscience, mental health, education, workplace strategy, and design to demonstrate how intentional use of the arts can enhance psychological safety, reduce stress, support learning, and foster connection.

Building on a featured presentation on Intentional Spaces, this session expands into practical, evidence-informed strategies that can be applied across diverse settings—from classrooms and clinical environments to workplaces, community spaces, and personal routines. Participants will explore how visual art, music, movement, storytelling, and design principles can be intentionally integrated to support mental well-being, engagement, and resilience at both individual and organizational levels.

Designed for mental health professionals, educators, HR leaders, designers/architects, and community members, this session emphasizes actionable applications, cross-sector collaboration, and inclusive approaches that make arts-based well-being accessible to all.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe how arts-based experiences and environmental design influence brain function, emotional regulation, and overall mental well-being across settings such as education, healthcare, workplaces, and community spaces.
  2. Identify at least three practical strategies for integrating arts, sensory elements, or intentional design into professional or personal environments to support stress reduction, engagement, and psychological safety.
  3. Apply at least one arts- or environment-based approach to enhance well-being, learning, or workplace outcomes within their own context (e.g., classroom, clinical setting, organization, or physical space).
