About this Event
Imagine a time in the future when we could use gene-editing technologies during the pre-implantation stage of IVF to design babies that are disease-free and cosmetically enhanced. Creating healthy babies free of inheritable diseases like Tay Sachs is accepted by many, but tinkering with genes for aesthetic reasons is controversial and currently illegal in the United States.
Dr. Hamilton is a Professor Emeritus in the UNG Department of Biology with over 30 years of experience teaching courses such as Human Anatomy and Physiology.
