About this Event
Emily and Erin combined, have over 40 years of working with clients around the globe to design, implement, and sell work in the AEC industry. Together, they will teach you how to use design thinking to be more effective in business development and give you the tools to continue practicing and implementing lessons learned long after!
The audience will learn:
- How to apply design thinking to business development - how to iterate and prototype to maximize effectiveness and fun!
- Explore tools in facilitating thoughtful, effective conversations around goal setting.
- Learn how to use design thinking methods to assist in stakeholder engagement and decision making.
Erin Peavey, AIA, WELL AP is an award-winning researcher and licensed architect with HKS. She is an industry scholar with Cornell University’s Institute for Healthy Futures and an active author, keynote speaker, and coach that focuses on design to foster well-being and combat loneliness.
Emily Henry, ASLA is a landscape architect turned business developer. She is the Director of Business Development at Studio Outside, the Founder of Connect For, a business development coaching practice, and is acting as the Designer-in-Residence for the MADI Program (Master of Arts, Design and Innovation) at SMU this fall. Emily has a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia, she hosts the Connect For Podcast, and is an active speaker and coach within the AEC Industry.
