Join the Annual Design Slam – Now with a New Team Challenge!
Design Slam is an exciting yearly competition where students from across Colorado come together to showcase their creativity and compete in fast-paced, 15-minute design challenges. Hosted in the Mary Harris Auditorium at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, this event is a celebration of innovation, skill, and friendly competition.
New This Year: The Team Challenge!
In addition to the individual competitions, we’re introducing a special three-hour group challenge running alongside the other events. Teams will be tasked with designing and building a functional chair using only cardboard and a single roll of tape—and it must support at least 200 lbs! At the end of the event, each chair will be evaluated for functionality, usability, and style, with the strongest, most creative design taking the win.
How to Participate:
If your team is ready to take on the challenge, please submit one registration per team to secure your spot.
The event will take place March 12th in the Mary Harris Auditorium on the RMCAD Campus from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
