Bring your creativity to life this Halloween! In this free, hands-on family workshop, participants will learn the basics of 3D design, digital modeling, and simple circuits while creating their very own spooky ghost.
During the session, kids (and parents!) will:
- ? Design a 3D Ghost: Use Tinkercad, a beginner-friendly 3D design platform, to create a custom ghost shape and face.
- ? Explore Electronics: Experiment with LEDs and coin cell batteries to make your ghost light up.
- ?️ Discover 3D Printing: Watch a live demo of 3D printing and learn how digital designs become real objects.
- ? Optional Add-On: Paint and personalize your ghost or have your design 3D printed and mailed to you after the event.
No prior experience is needed — just curiosity and imagination!
All laptops, materials, and electronics will be provided for use during the session.
? What to Bring:
Please bring your own laptop and mouse (tablets/trackpads are not recommended for this activity).
?? Who It’s For:
Perfect for ages 8–14, younger children are welcome with parent/guardian support.

Each ticket reserves a spot for 1 child + 1 parent (parents may accompany multiple children, but each child needs their own ticket).

This workshop is free to attend, but space is limited. If your plans change, please cancel your free ticket as soon as possible so another family can participate.
? Upgrades & Payments
You can upgrade to a paid take-home option the day of the event.
- We gladly accept Zelle or cash for in-person payments.
- Card payments can be made in advance through Eventbrite.
- Paid upgrades include all extra materials and must be purchased per child participant.
? Refund Policy
Because each 3D-printed ghost is custom-made to your child’s design, printed models and take-home kits are non-refundable once purchased.
? Shipping
If you choose the “Mail-My-3D-Printed Ghost” option, your ghost will be printed and shipped within 7 days after the event. You’ll receive an email confirmation once it’s on the way.
