What does this workshop cover?Design and make your very own freemotion embroidery lampshade in this is a lovely 2 day workshop which runs over Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of September. It’s a great course if you have completed our beginners freemotion workshop or have tried your hand at the technique before. The weekend workshop is a whole ‘design and make’ extravaganza with plenty of guidance in how to draw and put your design together from Caroline our freemotion embroidery artist. Whatever level of drawing skill you have, there are plenty of preprepared designs and templates to choose from or simply create your own design completely from scratch. As well as designing your lampshade you will also spend day one starting to make your lampshade with lots of
guidance regarding pattern and colour. During day two you will finish preparing your applique design and then bring your design to life using freemotion embroidery! Hayley will then guide you through all the steps to fit your panel onto the lampshade laminate, resulting in a one off gorgeous 20cm drum lampshade for your home.
