Design a Home: 3-day Camp* (Oct)

A project-based workshop where students get to design a Home for their Family. Students will apply Design Thinking principles to better understand the needs, preferences, and challenges of the people they are designing for and be introduced to the basics of space planning for a home.

Wonderful Ideas for a HomeThey will begin by planning their designs in 2D, then translate their ideas into 3D models with thoughtful consideration for architectural scale, light, ventilation, views, and communal landscape areas. Along the way, students will be introduced to the basics of space planning and learn fundamental model-making skills, creatively transforming everyday materials into their very own home prototypes.

Every child's creation will be unique, reflecting their family's specific needs and aspirations. This hands-on workshop encourages critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving, while providing a meaningful and fun introduction to real-world design and architecture.

DesignTinkers camps are thoughtfully curated and led by a passionate team of educators, architects and designers with a shared mission: to inspire and empower young minds through design. With extensive experience working with children, our instructors are dedicated to nurturing each student’s creative interests in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. All our camps are held in our spacious and conducive classrooms where students can create and explore freely under guidance.
