About this Event
Through vivid imagery, artist Estrella Munoz hopes to share the her Latinx experience--inspired by the traditions, colorful stories, and superstitions of her Colombian roots. Discussion of demons, trolls, and spirits as part of her upbringing--bringing forth a lightness and celebration of all things “unknown.” The artistic imagery is enhanced by her bi-culturalism; Estrella shares ”I see the world through different images and sensations depending on whether I am tapping into my Latinx roots or my American experience”. Estrella is influenced by the sacred feminine, a symbol prevalent throughout her work. She is a multidisciplinary artist, and her first solo gallery show will showcase her broad range of art and talents. Opening night will consist of a live drawing, music, refreshments, and each early bird ticket holder will leave with their very own signed print. The event will abide by all the current COVID-19 guidelines to ensure safety, yet provide attendees with a more intimate chance to view Estrella’s art. A virtual show is also in the works for those unable to attend, and more information will be provided at a later date.
