Descendance - A Ritual Movement Practice
Come join us for an immersive experience of ritual movement practice at ARC Take 2 Studios.
Descendance is a sacral journey into the depths of your soma (body). A luscious, liquid dance of liberation, where you'll move at the rhythm of your own pleasure, alchemizing each sensation into personal power.
The intention of this dance practice is to slow down and fully engage with this present experience. When we can embrace the fullness of our being, from the mundane to the sensational, we become intimate with the moment. By descending into these hidden spaces without agenda, we can meet our deepest needs for love and belonging, relax into our inherent worth, and attract a life filled with love and brilliance.
Imagine a practice that helps your whole being know the truth of your embodied safety, worth, and wholeness. A practice that helps you channel your anger, grief, and shame into nourishment. Come home to this primal knowing through movement, energy, and breath practice.
Descendance offers a unique blend of guided facilitation, breathwork, and free-flowing waves that let you luxuriate in your personal growth edge within a supportive community. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a beginner, you belong here if you have a desire to deepen in devotion to your own liberation.
In this ritual container, we shed inhibitions, embrace authenticity, and call back lost parts of ourselves into love and integrity. Join us as we descend to our depths in order to rise together, radiant and free.

What attendees are saying:
"Before attending, I wasn’t sure what to expect—I felt curious but also a bit uncertain about what somatic dance involved. However, Riyah’s warm and welcoming energy immediately put me at ease. She guided everyone so gracefully through the experience, creating a safe and supportive space for self-expression."
"Thank you for sharing your warm, authentic energy with the group. Your ability to guide us through the experience in a thoughtful way allowed for some structure necessary to facilitate the healing process without impeding on the free flowing energy of the individual. Your prompts, especially when we checked in as a group, really helped me to pause and reflect, which led to at least one a-ha moment!"
"What stood out to me most was how natural and freeing the practice felt. I loved how it allowed me to reconnect with my inner child—I was able to move without judgment, be fully present, and let go of any inhibitions. The flow state I experienced during the dance was something I haven’t felt in a long time, and it was deeply rejuvenating."
"The practice helped me tap into a sense of playfulness and presence that I often don’t access in my daily life. It reminded me of the joy that comes from simply moving and expressing myself in the moment."
"I was surprised how many feelings do come up. I appreciate that you say at the beginning that we do not need to dial things up all the way. I felt like I could see and acknowledge different things that bubbled up for me, good and bad, but I felt I could observe them and let them pass without having to indulge in an intense emotional experience."
"During opening circle I noticed I had some tension at the back of one of my shoulders and by the end of the session it was completely gone. When I left I felt like I was radiating peace inside and out."
"Overall the evening was everything I could have hoped for and I am excited for future opportunities to continue my healing in a way that I love yet never imagined as an option."
"To anyone considering trying somatic dance, I would say: go for it! Whether you’re curious or nervous, Riyah’s gentle guidance and supportive atmosphere will make you feel comfortable from the start. It’s a beautiful opportunity to connect with yourself, release tension, and experience the joy of uninhibited movement. I can’t wait to come back!"
