We are delighted to announce that we will be working in conjunction with the Castle Triathlon Club of Prudhoe & Northumbrian Water to bring you our popular SPRINT & STANDARD TRIATHLONS on Sunday 13th July 2025, from the wonderful Derwent Reservoir near Consett, County Durham.This outstanding Reservoir is owned by Northumbrian Water and sits on the border of Durham & Northumberland and the Triathlon Event will take place from the south side of the Reservoir.
Swimming will be in the wonderful Reservoir, Cycling on the quiet country lanes around the water followed by running on the flat paths & trails.
This event is perfect for those new to multisport as well as seasoned athletes - whether you're training for an Ironman distance triathlon or looking to take on your first event, this is for you.
The courses are suited to all abilities with relay options available for all events and no cut off times, there's nothing stopping you!
Sprint (Short) Triathlon
Swim - 750m / Cycle - 22km / Run - 5km
Standard Triathlon
Swim - 1,500m / Cycle - 20km / Run - 10km
Sprint (Short) Aquabike
Swim - 750m / Cycle - 22km
Standard Aquabike
Swim - 1,500m / Cycle - 20km
All finishers will get a Medal, Merchandise, snack & a drink.
