Derry is a renowned local photographer whose photographs have appeared in a number of best-selling books, the most famous being James Herriot's Yorkshire, a book that came 41st in the Sunday Times best-selling books for the first quarter of this century. His photographs were also used extensively in Alfred Wainwright's books.
