Join us on Saturday 13th September for the inaugural Derbyshire Conservation & Heritage Crafts Festival.
This free one day event at Cromford Mills offers something for all the family!
What to expect?:
Live demonstrations from a range of craftspeople and heritage experts - including decorative Elizabethan plastering, heritage roofing, stone carving, tuck pointing, spinning, slate making, woodworking, blacksmithing, lace making, sign writing and much more!
Try your hand at a range of heritage crafts such as spinning wool, circular knitting, corn dolly making, felting, drop spinning and lace making (some 'have-a-go' activities will incur a small charge, whilst others will be free).
Expert advice - come along with any questions and experts will be on hand to discuss a variety of topics.
Learn more about Planning matters, listed buildings, building conservation, building surveys, our B@R survey project, how to look after your home and, of course, how you can get involved in heritage crafts/skills.
Don't forget to bring along any archaeological finds you have, as we will have an expert to identify the time period.
This is a dog friendly event.
Don't miss it!
