Om Unit (Jim Coles) is a London-based producer known for his boundary-pushing approach to electronic music. Blending depth, experimentation, and rhythmic innovation, his work moves fluidly between jungle, footwork, electro, dubstep, and cinematic sound design.
Rising to prominence with his 2010 rework of Joker’s DigiDesign, Om Unit quickly established himself through releases on Civil Music, Planet Mu, All City, Terrorhythm, and his own imprint Cosmic Bridge. Across a series of EPs, he showcased a rare versatility, from the electro-driven The Timps to the mechanical soul of Transport and the expansive atmospheres of Aeolian.
In 2011, he anonymously launched the Philip D Kick project, pioneering a jungle-footwork hybrid that later evolved into the collaborative project Dream Continuum with Machinedrum. A Red Bull Music Academy alumnus, Om Unit has remixed and collaborated with artists including Mark Pritchard, Lorn, Shigeto, Ital Tek, and Foreign Beggars, and has performed worldwide at festivals and institutions such as Sónar, Boiler Room, and MoMA.
Formerly known as turntablist 2tall, Coles brings decades of experience to Om Unit, cementing his reputation as one of electronic music’s most forward-thinking and influential producers.
For the night, he will be performing a 3 hour set, joining him on the night are local talents YI LUM, and ODD E.C.
