Denny Ilett is a versatile guitarist/singer who has worked with the likes of US stars Lillian Boutte & PeeWee Ellis (James Brown’s saxophonist) as well as members of Goldfrapp, Portishead & Mannfred Mann. Saxophonist/singer Pete Long is a renowned jazz musician and arranger, whose CV includes work with Jools Holland, Tom Jones and Lionel Richie. Tonight these two master musicians join forces with this unique band.Over to them: “It’s the late 1940’s - the bebop revolution led by Charlie Parker is in full swing. At the same time, a brand new style of Rock & Roll roll (Rhythm & Blues) was being deployed by T-Bone Walker and Louis Jordan - we’ve put these two styles together to produce our 'R&Bebop’ show - an exciting and innovative moment in melodic and rhythmic time”.
