Directed by Chris Westover-MuñozThe Denison University Wind Ensemble presents "Mid-Century Modern" — a program that celebrates the creativity and innovation of the mid-20th century. As mid-century design enjoys a resurgence, the ensemble revisits the era’s musical counterparts, performing works that reflect its spirit and style.
Guest artist John Cipolla joins the ensemble as soloist, on clarinet and saxophone, in music by Stravinsky and Mingus. The program also features classics by Barber, Persichetti, and Schumann.
This event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. The concert will take place in Sharon Martin Hall.
