Come along to our Pottery Village Fête filled with fun & games, animals, entertainment, food & drink and more - a great day out for the whole family!
Here’s what we have planned for you…
Fun and games:
🦙 Take the Brackenfield Farm Alpacas trekking and tag us in your photos: Children 8 yrs and under will need to be supervised by an adult (£5 per go)
🦨 Get up close to the weird and wonderful creatures from Fudge and Co
🐰 Meet the animals at the White Post Farm pop-up farm, including reptiles, small fluffies and minibeasts
🐴 Say hello to the ponies with rides suitable from 2-12 years (£5 a ride)
🦜 Learn all about domestic birds and parrots from Parrots in Need
🐾 Meet the Guide Dogs in training with demonstrations at selected times
🐠 Feed the fish at Denby Koi Ponds (£1 per feed)
🐤 Try your luck at the traditional games’ stalls, including Tin Can Alley, Splat the rat and Hook a Duck with prizes to be won (£1.50 for 3 go’s)
🦋 Face painting between 10am-3pm (£4 per child)
🎨 Call into the Denby Craft Studio for pottery painting fun, subject to availability (Prices start from £8 to paint)
🏺 Take a FREE peek inside our Denby Museum
🚂 Free play with the trains and games with our friends from BRIO and ThinkFun
📷 Take a photo on our giant deckchair and at the fun photo stops
🛝 Our play area is now open for the summer too!
🎵 With live music from Championship Section brass band Shirland Miners Welfare band in the afternoon
🏺 Plus, there’s the chance to book a space with our Master Potter, Sean and commission your own hand-thrown vase for an amazing £40. Plus, help name the Denby Elephant (for £2 a go) with all proceeds going towards our charity of the year, Shelter.
Food & drink:
🧁 Emma’s Cakes will be popping up with their delicious cake stall
🍦 As well as ice cream from Emma’s Whippy
🍔 Grab something tasty for lunch from the Greedy Pig Butchers Hog Roast and BBQ pop-up stall
☕️ Pick up refreshments and cream teas from Bourne’s takeaway
🍽️ Bourne’s Coffee Shop & Bistro and the Farm Shop Café will be open as usual serving hot dishes, jacket potatoes, vegetarian options, freshly prepared sandwiches and a selection of cakes and drinks.
Shopping:
🌼 Whilst you're enjoying the Pottery Village Fête, visit the Denby Garden Stall for your outdoor plants, the Greedy Pig’s Butchery for quality locally sourced meats and if you’re a koi keeper, don’t miss out on a visit to Denby Koi Ponds.
🛍️ Top up your Denby collections during our Warehouse Clearance (with amazing discounts on selected ranges and items). Demonstrations will be happening throughout the day in the Cookshop at Denby and Farm Shop from Popcorn Kitchen and Kuhn Rikon and don’t forget to pick up your discount voucher to spend during your next visit.
🐶 Dogs are welcome too and we recommend that you bring cash with you for some of the activities (as there isn’t access to a cashpoint on site).
