Can you believe it’s Denali’s 7th Gotcha Day Anniversary? 💜Every February, we pause to celebrate a miracle — Denali’s survival, resilience, and incredible journey after enduring unimaginable cruelty. Burned by her former owner, Denali’s story could have ended very differently… but thanks to love, medicine, and determination, it became one of hope.
In 2018, Denali spent 16 days in the ICU at BluePearl, fighting for her life with third-degree chemical burns covering 40% of her body. She endured surgeries, countless bandage changes, multiple IV catheters, strong antibiotics, pain medications, and months of intensive aftercare. After two more months of healing at home, she was finally medically cleared — and on Valentine’s Day 2019, Denali found her forever family. A true love story. 💕
Because Suncoast Animal League saved her life, Denali now spends each year paying it forward. She proudly becomes the hostess of a very special love-themed fundraiser, raising critical funds so Suncoast Animal League can continue helping pups and kitties who need specialized, lifesaving medical care — just like she once did.
