About this Event
Fun Fact! Peter Granoff gave Diana her first "real" wine job at Wine.com, back in 1998. Or was it 1999? Anyhoo, Master Sommeliers Peter Granoff (and Tim Gaiser, who's taught at Wine Goddess in the past) taught Diana everything she knows about the sensory evaluation of wine, and now, Peter will teach YOU!
In 1991 Peter Granoff was the 15th American to become a Master Sommelier, and is one of a small subset to date that have earned the Krug Champagne Cup (awarded to those who pass all three parts of the Master Sommelier exam on the first try). He has since gone on to found Virtual Vineyards (the first successful wine e-tailer, now known as Wine.com) and both The Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant and Mission Bay Wine & Cheese in San Francisco.
Here's what to expect from the man himeself: "Have you ever read a wine review while drinking the same wine and wondered if you - or the critic - was loony? The simple truth is that much of what is written about wine doesn’t help you become a better taster, and that is what this class is designed to do. With humor and good fun, we will Demystify Tasting Techniques, so join us."
Things to note:
· One week cancellation policy
· We’re within two blocks of both the Main Street Metra and Main Street “L”
· Please eat prior—we’ll taste through 6-7 wines in the class
