About this Event
We should all be challenging ourselves and asking are we really making a difference with the work we do? We all need to evaluate the work we do – and to do this well, we should take the time to plan approaches and consider several tools to help us demonstrate our impact and understand the difference we make. It rarely is a one-size-fits all approach. Having a clear theory of how your work makes an impact is key to achieving your aims and it always helps to have something to share with your funders too.
This workshop will introduce you to a range of approaches and tools to help you prepare your evaluation and explore the right methodology for you. The workshop will be interactive, encourage discussion and include step-by-step practical activities to take you through the process.
At this workshop, we will consider:
- Setting goals and outcomes for your work using tools such as a theory of change
- The links between what you are measuring and the outcomes being achieved
- Scale of approaches in evaluating a range of cultural projects such as participatory projects, small scale and large scale performances or events, and people development programmes.
- How to resource plans and consider what is feasible for you/ your organisation in an approach to demonstrate your impact and how to build on existing data collection tools and research out there.
