Democracy in Action: A Community Forum & Celebration

Join Daring Democracy–In Action (a UU Church of Nashua group) and Open Democracy for a morning of learning, discussion, actions we can take and connection focused on strengthening democracy in New Hampshire.
This community forum will feature short, accessible talks from leading advocates on key democracy reforms—including Ranked Choice Voting, independent redistricting, ballot initiatives, and primary reform—as well as a discussion of current threats to democracy in our state. A Q&A with all speakers will follow.
We’ll close the day with a potluck lunch, time to browse tables and network, and a special Granny D tribute—celebrating the birthday of Doris “Granny D” Haddock, Open Democracy’s founder and a lifelong champion for democracy—ending, fittingly, with chocolate cake. Coffee and muffins provided. All are welcome.
Come learn, connect, and celebrate the work of building a democracy powered by people. 🍰
