With 18 years in public service, including her time as Ingham County Clerk, Barb knows the ins and outs of Michigan voting because she’s been the one making it work. Barb isn’t new to this. As Ingham County Clerk, she’s trained election inspectors, modernized outdated systems, and fought to make voting safer, easier, and more accessible for all Michiganders. She officiated the first same-sex marriage in our state and has worked to ensure government treats everyone equally—from updating marriage licenses to making forms accessible to trans residents. She’s exposed corruption, led reforms, and built public trust in our elections when we needed it most.
