November is a great time to plant a tree! Join Wes Powell, Replant Clarksville’s tree expert, to learn how to plant a 3-gallon container tree, similar to one you might purchase for your own yard. Watch the demo and ask questions. Wes will also discuss how to plant and care for a small bare-root tree seedling, the size many people get from Tree Day events.
Don’t have a tree to plant? APSU is currently having a native tree and shrub sale. The Fall APSU online native tree and shrub sale is open. https://epay.apsu.edu/C20023_ustores/web/store_main.jsp?STOREID=67&SINGLESTORE=true. Buy online, pick up in person Friday and Saturday, November 7 and 8. Twenty-six species are available in 1-gallon or 3-gallon pots. November through March is the optimal season for planting trees in Clarksville.
