Our Annual 4th of July trek up Mt. Hamilton is next on the books! Meet at the corner of Alum Rock Ave and Mt. Hamilton Road in San Jose at 7:30am for a 8:00am spin time! Your ride up the mountain and back is about 38 miles with 4,700' of elevation so plan to be out there for a few hours!.It's expected to be quite warm in San Jose and since this is a non supported ride, please bring plenty of hydration and fuel for the ride. We also highly recommend bringing items needed in the event of an unforeseen mechanical mishap (tube, air pump, etc.).
The ride is an up and back so in the unlikely event you're not able to make it all the way up to the James Lick Observatory, it's an easy turn around and head back down the mountain. This is a "Ride your ride at your pace" event. Red, white and blue kits are not mandatory but if you got it....
Lunch will be planned out prior to the ride but as always, you can bet it'll be a nice little post ride feast!
