About this Event
Introduction
Deliciously Yorkshire (DY) in collaboration with the Yorkshire Food Farming and Rural Network (YFFRN) will be delivering a part-funded Legal Labelling Course for Food Producers who are self-employed or employed by an SME based in rural North Yorkshire Authority area.
Delivered by specialist training provider, Verner Wheelock.
This course is designed to provide a working knowledge of legislative requirements for food composition and labelling which will enable delegates to confidently assess product specifications, pack copy and artwork for legality.
The normal course fee per person is £415 + VAT
DY members will be required to pay £50 + VAT
Non-member will be required to pay £100 + VAT

- You will be aware of the impact of retailer policy and be able to produce 'right first time' specifications.
There is no formal assessment on this course, but you will receive a Verner Wheelock certificate of attendance.

Elligibility
You must be self-employed or employed by an SME based in rural North Yorkshire Authority area – see map here.
This is defined as:
- Towns, villages and hamlets with populations below 10,000 and the wider countryside.
- Market or ‘hub towns’ with populations of up to 30,000 that serve their surrounding rural areas as centres of employment and in providing service.
