Sometimes you just need a day out, having fun creating delicious foods and learning new techniques to spoil your family with afterwards. A day of fun making Macarons, Cinnamon Scrolls, Chicken Leek and Champagne Pie, and a Vanilla Slice to swoon for. Book the class, bring a bestie, sister, mum or daughter, wear your stretchy pants and let’s get baking!Saturday 22nd March 10am -2pm SA TIME $165 per person
In this class we’re going to bake Macarons, they’re easier than you think and also wonderfully customizable to whatever flavor you’d like.
Next is the unforgettable Cinnamon Scroll and there’s a “Nigella moment” when the Vanilla imbued icing just flows in a homeward bound way, anointing the tops of the scrolls and filling in all the nooks and crannies with the exuberance of sweetness. (I could go on but I think you know what I mean!) Everyone in your circle is going to love that you know how to make these!
After that we’ll make a flaky puff pastry to encase a thick Vanilla Bean Custard (very hard not to lick the bowl after this one) This is a real crowd please and is really easy to make (but don’t tell anyone!)
With that same pastry, we’ll also make my favorite Pie, the Chicken, Leek and Champagne Pie. Absolutely fabulous for entertaining.
Lunch is also supplied and will possibly need a stretcher.

The Post and Rail is a Cooking , Gardening & Art School located at 7 Bill James Court Compton, on a 5 picturesque acre property. In a normal home kitchen designed to provide a relaxed and sociable, learning experience. Please allow an extra 10 mins travel time from the center of Mount Gambier.
