Get ready for cool jazz on a hot night at the SECOND ANNUAL Delco Jazz Jam! Join Upper Darby Township Recreation and the Schoener Music Man Academy for some cool jazz at the second annual Delco Jazz Jam on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 4 to 9 PM at the township building, 100 Garrett Road in Upper Darby.
This year, jazz lovers can expect an exciting evening of music, headlined by Luke Carlos O'Reilly, an award-winning pianist and organist, whose musical style is heavily influenced by Jazz, Soul, R&B, Gospel, Latin Jazz and Classical. Special guest vocalist will be Emily Braden!
Other performances will include Settlement Music School’s Wheeler Pre-Advanced Jazz Ensemble, Philadelphia jazz collective Omar's Hat, and the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz and Performing Arts.
The evening will culminate in an open, free-flowing jam session for all ages with jazz collective Omar’s Hat, while the community can enjoy food and beverages available from local favorites, Artillery Brewing and Delco Steaks.
Delco Jazz Jam is a partnership of Upper Darby Township Recreation and the Schoener MusicMan Academy (Upper Darby Arts and Education Foundation).
