E-mtb highly recommended. If not on an emtb, you need to be in very good shape to tackle the steep hills here.From Folsom (east of Sacramento), it's about a 2 hour drive each way. Forecast calls for sunny and highs in the low-mid 60s!
Watched a bunch of videos from there, and it looks soooo fun. I've heard that the trails are steeper than they look (mostly blue trails, but some black, too), but they are very flowy (mostly) with pretty good sightlines... shouldn't be many blind corners like we have locally.
Meet off Del Valle Road at the Sunset View/ Top of the Hill area (Check the map and coordinates) between 10:45-10:55 with wheels up at 11:00am. Figure we'll ride for 2-2.5 hours or so, 20 miles and about 2k-3k elevation gain overall. I've never been there, and I've heard the trails are steeper than they look on YouTube.
