In order for communities to be truly Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive, they also need to be Accessible to all. People with disabilities are the largest minority group and are often left out of D, E, and I conversations and initiatives, which is why we emphasize adding the A for Accessibility.
Participants will learn about the following topics:
- The definition of disability
- Disability as it pertains to DEI&A
- Respectful interactions
- Inclusion
- Ableism
- Centers for Independent Living and the IL Philosophy
