SUMMARY:In this workshop, we will discuss multiple methods of dehydrating foods, including oven drying, air drying, and using a dehydrator. We will also learn about freeze dried foods. You will also learn proper storage and processing techniques.
WHAT YOU'LL TAKE HOME:
All supplies will be provided! We will be working with locally grown herbs, fruits, and veggies. Everyone will build their own spice blend from herbs we dry in class. Everyone will also take several bundles of fresh herbs/fruits/veggies to dry at home.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATIONS:
Once you are accepted into the workshop, we will send you an invoice, and you will have three days to submit your payment of $65. We will hold your spot during this three day window. Please make sure you will be able to attend before submitting payment, as we will not be issuing refunds or transfers for cancellations UNLESS we are able to fill your spot from the waitlist. You are also welcome to send someone in your place, if you run into any last minute issues. Please let us know ASAP if you need to cancel, and we will do our best to fill your spot. If you are unable to attend and we are not able to issue you a refund or transfer, you will still be able to come pick up your workshop materials at a later date. This must be scheduled with Sarah in advance to ensure all materials are available for you when you arrive!
ADDITIONAL INFO:
***Ages 15 and up are welcome to attend.
***Space will be tight! Please be considerate. We will only have room for individuals accepted into the workshop. No room for extra guests.
*** Masks are optional. If you are feeling sick, please do not come to the workshop!
