About this Event
Join us on March 16th for an interactive lecture with Solebury’s own Jim Hill. The Hausman-Hill collection of scientific, surveying and measuring instruments helped define our nation’s boundaries. The exhibit showcases the work of significant early makers of measuring implements, such as notable 18th and 19th-century craftsmen Anthony Lamb, Rufus Porter, Thomas Greenough, William Wurdemann and the Chapin Family of Connecticut. Historic photographs, patents and documents of these makers will be on display. This collection has been exhibited at the Mercer and other local history organizations. Don’t miss this opportunity! Exhibit will be open from 2pm to 6pm. This is free to members, $10 for non-members and will be held at our STHS schoolhouse.
