We will have refreshments and tidbits to eat afterwards either at the library commons or Sean Cummings Irish pub,7628 N. May Ave. Oklahoma City weather permitting.
We are proud to be hosting a showing of “1946: The Mistranslation that Shifted Culture”.
The viewing is free, but we are working to raise some money at the event. There’s no obligation to make a donation, but we hope that after viewing the film, people will be inspired to give. All proceeds raised will benefit Defense of Democracy.
Defense of Democracy is a grass-roots organization with chapters all over the U.S. Our mission is to educate the public on the importance of the public school and library systems in a functioning democracy and provide training, tools and coordination for volunteer engagement in communities across the country.
