About this Event
Ever wondered about the untold stories of Leon and Franklin County’s women and minorities after the war? Join us for a storytelling session where we’ll dive into real-life challenges these incredible individuals faced, how we pieced together their journeys through research, and what changed for them as society moved forward. Let’s talk about how they’re remembered (or sometimes forgotten), and spark a conversation: How can we uncover the contributions of those whom history often overlooks?
The evening begins with a 30 discussion/lecture in Jubilee Cottage, followed by a guided tour of the Defenders of Freedom exhibit.
Presented by Lisa Keith-Lucas, Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum Archivist.
Admission is free and open to the public. RSVP is requested.
